Steel Billet

Billet is the semi-finished metal product that comes out of the melting furnace and continuous casting machine (CCM), serving as the primary raw material for finished products such as rebar and structural sections. Eltemsah produces high-quality billets meeting international standards using the latest electric arc melting technologies. The following steel grades are available: • Grade B400: - Type: Ordinary high-resistance carbon steel. - Application: Conventional construction and standard residential buildings. • Grade B400CR (Corrosion-Resistant): - Type: Steel with light alloying elements (copper, chromium, nickel). - Application: Coastal structures and those exposed to salts and groundwater. • Grade B500B: - Ductility: Medium. - Application: Standard structural elements such as beams and slabs. • Grade B500C: - Ductility: Very high (withstands significant deformation before fracture). - Application: Towers, bridges, and critical structures. • Grade 500 DWR (Advanced Seismic Steel): - Features: High weldability (W), superior bonding with concrete, and seismic load resistance (R). - Application: Skyscrapers and major national projects.
